What We May Be

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Trevor is swoon-worthy (hello, man bun!), Sean is broody, and Charlotte is conflicted. They each have their own baggage and struggles, and together they make magic.

The first chapter had me concerned about how I would enjoy this story. There are many names mentioned in the beginning, and it was confusing to keep straight in my head who each person was and how they were connected to the main characters. I seriously considered drawing a diagram for reference.

Fortunately, I was able to get over that hurdle and it was easy to get absorbed into the story. I was completely invested in the three MCs, and the breadcrumbs of their backgrounds sprinkled throughout the story kept me riveted. For me, the murder mystery wasn’t the focal point; the second chance polyamory romance was the star.

I was 99.99% certain I knew who the killer was, but I was wrong. What a nice twist!

Overall, What We May Be is an enjoyable poly-romance suspense story.
