My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Beautiful Beasts came into my life at the perfect time. I was struggling to find a satisfying book, and I started and stopped several different stories before I gave up. I was looking for something unidentifiable until Horvat’s newest release swept into my life and fulfilled that void.
Joakim has to be my favorite of all Horvat’s characters. He’s genuinely sweet and open and real. He’s a refreshing take on the rich older man. He’s also humble and far from flashy. I just adore him.
Kevin is just as sweet, but in a different way. He feels more vulnerable to me. That’s not to say Joakim doesn’t show some vulnerability, though.
Both Joakim and Kevin are confident and self-assured in their professional lives, yet vulnerable when it comes to dating and romance. I love how they initially connect online and how that connection translates to their first date.
There’s nothing that I don’t love about Beautiful Beasts: the romance, the attraction, the sexy times…all of it is absolutely perfect.
