From the first page to the last, the powerful emotions in Stay hit me right in the gut.
The level of care and sensitivity put into creating the characters that tell the story are beyond anything I’ve read in recent memory.
Joe has had a rough life and struggles daily in a world not conducive to his unique qualities. Madden, the ultimate caretaker, sees that elusive special something in Joe.
I enjoyed the slow and careful development of their relationship. It would have been a disservice to have it any other way.
Knight has managed to create rich characters that touched a tender part of me. I weeped, I cheered, I laughed, and I rejoiced. Stay is a story that will stay with me for a very long time.
